Sorry I jumped the gun on the Johan comment. But I am just very pissed off. I know the Twins have one the divison 4 of 6 years and we are known for developing young players. I would like to get a very good player or players for the best pitcher in baseball. I could go on forever but will wait to hear what you guys have to say.

Carlos Gomez is as fast if not faster than Jose Reyes. He's a top of the order guy. He's grooming into a 5-tool player. Phil Humber? 25 years old, Tommy John Surgery award winner, we'll see. Deolis Guerra is a guy to watch out for, Billy Smith might have taken something out of the Terry Ryan Book of General Manager smartness and picked a diamond in the rough. 18 years old so he has time to grow. 2010 starting pitcher at the new stadium isn't out of reach. Haven't heard much from this Mulvey guy. Hope the Mets have fun with Santana and throwing that slider that soars through Shea Stadium.

We're about to be just like the Cincinnati Reds. A few pretty good position players, one (hopefully for Liriano) good starter, then a bunch of scrubs in the rest of the rotation, a brand new, beautful stadium that won't stay packed after the first year or so. The Twins are about to simply hover around that .500 mark and only occasionally get the fans excited with a run at the playoffs but eventually fall short of the post season. What's next, Joe Nathan for some middle-of-the-line 2B prospect?

I agree with what Chosman said. Great I guess we will have to wait see how these guys pan out again. Its great that we have won the Div a few times but we really had no shot at winning the WS. What a joke, the whole country has to be laughing at MN sports.

It's called Delmon Young, Cuddyer, Morneau and Mauer for the next 10 years. These 4 players will lead us far, mark my words. Young is going to be an absolute stud with this club. If Everett can hover around .250 in the 9 hole and Lamb can make the routine plays at 3B, they will be upgrades. I love our pitching staff being completely unexperienced and young. They all have something to prove like the Marlins team with Beckett, Burnett and Pavano. WS here we come!!!

Let's all face it, this trade isn't that big of deal. We knew we had to unload Johan eventually. Besides, Santana seemed to falter during the playoffs. He had a solid start in his first playoff start but even then he went 4 innings. Followed by his blowup in Game 4. The following season he did have a superb start in Game 1 but once again left after the 5th inning in Game 4. Then in 2006 he pitched 8 solid innings but the Twins were still trailing. Johan may have those Cy Youngs but what's going to happen at the end of the season when the Mets do make the playoffs? Or if they even do?
